Yesterday we got on the hotel bikes and went for spin out to Cua Dai (Ed. note: remember – the place we walked to looking for dinner?) Anyway, it was quite an experience. Along the road are some lovely looking resorts and a spectacular ocean view – The Good
Lush surroundings at the Swiss-BelHotel Resort
The ocean views go on forever…
Then there is The Bad. This resort had 26 of these villas plus a huge hotel complex. It appears that they just ran out of money a few years ago.
You can see the ocean through the front door.
The infinity pool just outside the villa’s living room
A few more of the unfinished villas
And then there is The Ugly. This complex was effectively finished, it appears. However the only people “living” there seem to be a few squatters.
This is one of six buildings which have a total of 38 three story suites.
This massive wall was built, we suppose, to protect the complex from the tide. As you can see from the water it isn’t doing its job. That is the tide coming in.
The result? With the next big storm we think this will slide into the water. It is hanging on just above the water in the previous photo.
But there is still The Beautiful.
