Cua Dai – The Good, The Bad, The Ugly – and The Beautiful

Yesterday we got on the hotel bikes and went for spin out to Cua Dai (Ed. note: remember – the place we walked to looking for dinner?) Anyway, it was quite an experience. Along the road are some lovely looking resorts and a spectacular ocean view – The Good

Then there is The Bad. This resort had 26 of these villas plus a huge hotel complex. It appears that they just ran out of money a few years ago.

You can see the ocean through the front door.

And then there is The Ugly. This complex was effectively finished, it appears. However the only people “living” there seem to be a few squatters.

This is one of six buildings which have a total of 38 three story suites.

This massive wall was built, we suppose, to protect the complex. As you can see from the water it isn't doing its job. That is the tide coming in.

The result? With the next big storm we think this building will slide into the water.

But there is still The Beautiful.
